Back to Reality :: The Honeymoon is Over

Waiting in line
Sharing our honeymoon memories on the blog, has given me a chance to relive the experience.  It kept the journey alive for me and it is with a heavy heart that I wrap things up. The honeymoon is over, as they say.

It is funny the things that stick in your memory.

Backpacking across Europe

Like the night we slept on a closet floor in Warsaw, Poland or a three hour bus ride in Croatia, when the A/C was broken (it was over 100 degrees outside), dancing the ceilidh in the Paris Metro and scoring free tickets to the London 2012 Olympics. These are the stories, we tell over and over again.

Ferry Boat in CroatiaAll of our inside jokes or the comically bad tours we took, the hilarious friends we made or the generosity of complete strangers. These were the things that made our trip truly memorable - that and of course sharing the experience with my best friend Rob.

The honeymoon might be over, but we'll always have the memories.

Your honeymoon might be over but your married adventure has just begun!
I love your shoes in that first photo, by the way. They make my heart sing!

As my father used to say, "All good things must come to an end."

Honeymoons are sweet, but a rich marriage, as it matures and ripens is much sweeter. This you will learn over time - and it's a good thing! :)

Blessings!
